할머니께서는 한국 전쟁 당시 황해도에서 남쪽으로 어머니와 단둘이 피난을 나오셨습니다. 아흔이 다 되어가는 연세이시지만 여전히 어릴 적 고향 이야기는 눈에 선하신지 어제 일처럼 이야기하시곤 합니다. 어느 날은 할머니 고향이 정확히 어디인지 써달라고 하니 돋보기를 쓰시고 느리지만 또박또박하게 글자를 적어주셨습니다. 이제는 연세가 있으셔서 기억력도 많이 가물가물하시지만 어릴 적 떠나온 고향의 주소를 거의 정확하게 기억하신다는 것이 놀라웠습니다. 한글로 또박또박 적은 할머니의 고향을 향한 그리움이 잘 표현되어 응모해봅니다.

My grandmother and my mother fled from Hwanghae-do alone during the Korean War. My grandmother is almost 90 years old and still remembers her childhood hometown like yesterday.
