Look both ways!
Because the children are still young, I often worry about their safety when they go to and from school.
One rainy day, I noticed some Korean writing on the ground beneath two children standing at a crosswalk—it immediately caught my eye.
The words “Look both ways” were written in Hangeul, with little male and female pictograms on each end and a row of tiny footprints between them. It looked so kind and thoughtful—almost beautiful.
I truly hope that everyone, young and old, puts down their phones while walking or crossing the street, and instead takes a moment to look left and right—so we can all stay safe.
